holiday card contest headerWe had an amazing response to our annual card contests this past h0liday! Customer submissions were posted to Instagram (via #papersourceholidaycontest) between October 15th and December 15th, plus we also ran a holiday card contest for our store employees! We were wowed by everyone’s creativity! Thank you to all who participated – you certainly made our decision difficult. Take a glimpse at the winners of both contests below.

Camie D. came up with a very clever way to show off her family photos with her card. This paper version of a retro View Master sparks a little nostalgia and is fun to interact with.

Claire D. created a lovely card that combines paper cutting, stamping and a little sparkle with the help of some glitter. The fine paper is the perfect choice for complimenting envelopes!

This rustic card by Bebe carries a sweet holiday sentiment without saying a word. This was a nice use of wood grain paper and wood moose adornments. By double-stamping the Cardinal in Tree stamp, Bebe created a lovely forest for them to meet in.

1st placeFor the full effect of this card, check out amyheairet’s instagram video. This labor-intensive pop-up card was a very clever use of our feather gift wrap and had us signing the Sleigh Ride carol!

Among our most popular holiday crafting products this past season were the Christmas Washi Tape and the Christmas Tree Punch. Kelly N. found a fun way to use them both and top them off with whimsical Santa Hat Stickers!

We love adorable critters – especially this hedgehog stamp! Steph S. thought outside of the box and turned them into playful holiday ornaments.

Employee Contest: 1st Place, Theresa S., Naperville Store

2nd placePictures don’t do this one justice! This gnome does a surprisingly zippy twirl as he spins down the hill. Very clever mechanics, nice use of glitter paper and stamping and great craftsmanship!

Employee Contest: 2nd Place, Theresa B., Southport Store

This retro card combines vibrant colors and wood grain. Great use of fine paper, Silhouette machine and our new gold foil tape. There was a lot of detail and layering that went into this card and the result was bright and fun!

Employee Contest: 3rd Place, Susanne S., Austin Store

This pop-up surprise delighted everyone! When you open this little gift the trees and reindeer spring up like a jack-in-the-box. Great use of paper and stamping and very well executed!

3rd placeEmployee Contest: Creative Use of Decorative Paper: Laura P., Naperville Store

This playful card shows a clever use of red glitter and holiday plaid papers in combination with the cat stamp. All the color choices come together to make a fresh yet classic look.

Employee Contest: Creative Use of Decorative Tape: Amy T., Lincoln Park Store

These sweet little packages look great wrapped up in washi—and the gift tag, too. This card plays up the trend of Coral and Gold very nicely. Simple yet lovely!

Employee Contest: Creative Use of Stamping: Lindsay E., Walnut Creek Store

This starry night sky shows off a very artful use of stamps, inks, embossing powder and glitter.
