I designed some simple postcards for the kids to decorate in hopes of sending a few every so often to Grandma and Grandpa. I think we will try to use them as a ‘what we’ve been doing this summer’ type of mailing so they can document some of the things they will be doing…summer camp, swim lessons, beach time, caring for the garden, etc.
The postcards are blank on one side so that the kids can color or draw as they wish and then the other side has some simple air mail markings as well as a place for the child to write his name, and if they are old enough, their address as well as the info for who the postcard will go too.
The postcards are 4 x 6 inches and there are two per 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. Print on heavy card stock so that they stand up to the postal service sorting machines!
Then just grab lots of colorful crayons…
And draw circles, tell story or make a silly face.
Maybe even draw out your family…Noah even included our doggie!
What a proud little artist I have!
Now, don’t forget to sign your name and put a stamp on it…that’s the best part! Stamps are just very expensive stickers, no?
When your done you will have a nice little pile of one-of-a-kind postcards to mail to friends and family!
