Can it be February already? It feels like only a few weeks since we were all seeing in the New Year by pairing socks or playing Monopoly: Exeter edition.
This weekend, thoughts turn to love and disappointment. Sunday is Valentine’s Day, a day for people in love to revel ostentatiously in each other’s company, preferably in a public setting. The nation’s restaurants will be heaving with couples, triples and other lovers, paying over the odds for a memorable evening.
We want to see how you are sharing your special day with your significant other (s) - providing it’s not very good. So whether you’re enduring a disappointing dinner, rain-soaked walk in the country, or a Valentine’s card so half-arsed it would bring shame even to petrol station forecourts, we want to hear from you.
Share your pictures and tales of woe via GuardianWitness, and we’ll put the best together in a gallery on Monday to make single people feel better about themselves.

Happy Valentine’s Day.— Thomas Eagle (@thomeagle)
